About Magpie x Richard Scarry
Richard Scarry is one of the world's best-loved children's book author and illustrator of our time.
Born in Boston, Scarry started his career illustrating Little Golden Books such as bestselling titles I Am A Bunny and Rooster Struts.
Richard Scarry is most known for his large format Best Ever book series that takes place in a fictional town called Busytown, populated by a cast of anthropomorphised characters like Lowly Worm, Huckle Cat, Bananas Gorilla and many more.
With whimsical characters and silly vehicles, Scarry's art illustrates the concept and importance of community in a safe, fun, and inclusive way.
More than 300 of Richard Scarry's books have been published, and together they have sold over 160 million copies around the world and in over 35 languages.
For our first collaboration, we have used the fabulous illustrations from Cars and Trucks and Things That Go, which is one of the bestselling children's books of all time with 3.2 million copies sold!
